Lahore: According to news sources, the authorities have come up with a plan to transfer land owned by the Forest Department to Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA)for a water treatment plant in Shahdara. The Forest Department will also be provided a land owned by the Livestock Department as compensation.
The decision came during a meeting where recommendations for water treatment plant were discussed. The meeting was chaired by the Provincial Minister of Punjab for Revenue Malik Muhammad Anwar and he will present the complete list of recommendations to the cabinet for approval.
While addressing the media, the Revenue Minister said that the treatment plant in Shahdara will help to resolve the sewerage problem in the area to a great extent.
