RDA generates Rs. 10.74m fine from various illegal commercial buildings

The fine was collected by the enforcement staff of Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate RDA along with Land Use and Building Control Wing of RDA, while conducting operation against illegal and unauthorized constructions.

The MP&TE Directorate’s staff with the assistance of police has sealed site offices of three illegal housing schemes namely Wapda Town in Taxila Tehsil Rawalpindi and The Regent Farm Housing Scheme on Chakri Road near Motorway Interchange and The Life Residencia on Fateh Jang Road.

First Information Reports have been lodged against two illegal housing schemes namely Mangolia Housing Scheme and New Rawal City.

The LU&BC Wing’s staff has sealed an under-construction illegal plaza in Gulraiz Housing Scheme Rawalpindi.

The owners of the above-mentioned properties have violated the Punjab Development of States Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations, 2020 and constructed illegal commercial buildings without approval and NOC.

Under the directives of Director General RDA, the Building Control Wing is conducting crackdown against illegal, unauthorized commercial and residential construction activities including plazas, shops, schools and other illegal lands in RDA controlled area in Rawalpindi.

The RDA spokesman said the Director General RDA has directed the LU&BC Wing to take strict action against encroachments, illegal and unauthorized constructions and commercial activities without any fear or nepotism. He said people should also show moral responsibility and remove all kinds of encroachments.

He added that the owners of the above-mentioned properties initiated illegal development works without approval of layout plan from the authority in various areas.

The RDA in the better interest of the general public has advised not to invest in illegal and unauthorized real estate projects and high-rise buildings as the authority had not given any approval, he said adding, “RDA recommends the citizens to consult the Authority before investing in such projects.”

منگلولیا ہاؤسنگ اسکیم اور نیو راول سٹی نامی دو غیر قانونی ہاؤسنگ اسکیموں کے خلاف پہلی انفارمیشن رپورٹس درج کی گئیں۔

ایل یو اینڈ بی سی ونگ کے عملے نے گلریز ہاؤسنگ سکیم راولپنڈی میں زیر تعمیر غیر قانونی پلازہ سیل کردیا ہے۔

مذکورہ املاک کے مالکان نے پنجاب ڈویلپمنٹ آف اسٹیٹس ایکٹ 1976 اور آر ڈی اے بلڈنگ اینڈ زوننگ ریگولیشنز 2020 کی خلاف ورزی کی ہے اور غیر قانونی تجارتی عمارات کی منظوری اور این او سی کے بغیر تعمیر کیا ہے۔

ڈائریکٹر جنرل آر ڈی اے کی ہدایت پر بلڈنگ کنٹرول ونگ راولپنڈی میں آر ڈی اے کے زیرانتظام علاقے میں پلازوں ، دکانوں ، اسکولوں اور دیگر غیر قانونی اراضی سمیت غیر قانونی ، غیر مجاز تجارتی اور رہائشی تعمیراتی سرگرمیوں کے خلاف کریک ڈاؤن کررہی ہے۔

آر ڈی اے کے ترجمان نے بتایا کہ ڈائریکٹر جنرل آر ڈی اے نے ایل یو اینڈ بی سی ونگ کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ تجاوزات ، غیر قانونی اور غیر مجاز تعمیرات اور تجارتی سرگرمیوں کے خلاف بلا خوف و اقربا پروری کے خلاف سخت کارروائی کرے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ لوگوں کو بھی اخلاقی ذمہ داری کا مظاہرہ کرنا چاہئے اور ہر قسم کے تجاوزات کو ختم کرنا چاہئے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ مذکورہ املاک کے مالکان نے مختلف علاقوں میں اتھارٹی سے لے آؤٹ پلان کی منظوری کے بغیر غیر قانونی ترقیاتی کاموں کا آغاز کیا۔

عام لوگوں کے بہتر مفاد میں آر ڈی اے نے غیر قانونی اور غیر مجاز جائداد غیر منقولہ منصوبوں اور اونچی عمارتوں میں سرمایہ کاری نہ کرنے کا مشورہ دیا ہے کیونکہ اتھارٹی نے اس کی منظوری نہیں دی تھی ، انہوں نے مزید کہا ، “آر ڈی اے شہریوں کو پہلے اتھارٹی سے مشورہ کرنے کی سفارش کرتا ہے۔ ایسے منصوبوں میں سرمایہ کاری کرنا۔
