LAHORE: On Thursday, during a provincial cabinet meeting CM Usman Buzdar approved the development of Sambli (North) Reserve Forest into the Salt Range National Park.
According to the details, the idea is to set span over approximately 13,700 acres for expanding the tree covered area and protecting the environment according to the news sources. CM said that shredding off the trees and hunting would not be allowed in the Salt Range National Park and no part of the land would be used for the commercial or residential purposes by any person.
In this regard, CM Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar asked for an official notification to be issued so that the development project gets started. He also directed for a management committee to supervise the park’s internal affairs very justly. Moreover, he also appointed a new provincial ombudsman. The cabinet also approved the amendments to the Punjab Undesirable Cooperative Societies Dissolution Act 1993 and the Cooperative Societies Act 1952.
Furthermore, the Punjab Cabinet approved the constitution of a committee under Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan tasked with the formulation an intern policy 2020-2021.
