Promotion of tourism in AJK among govt's top priorities: PM Imran

According to the news source, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that as Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) had a lot of tourism potential, the promotion of tourism and other allied sectors was among the government’s foremost priorities.

The development of the tourism sector in the valley besides improving infrastructure and economy will also help create ample employment chances, he added.

The prime minister was talking to Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, who called on him here and briefed him about the progress of the AJK government’s ongoing public welfare and tourism sector development projects.

According to the details, He while welcoming the restoration of the Accountability Act in Azad Kashmir as a good omen said that the rule of law and transparency in the system were inevitable for the country’s progress.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق بدھ کے روز وزیراعظم عمران خان نے کہا کہ آزاد جموں و کشمیر (اے جے کے) میں سیاحت کے بے پناہ پوٹینشل موجود ہے، اس لیے سیاحت اور دیگر متعلقہ شعبوں کا فروغ حکومت کی اولین ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ وادی میں سیاحت کے شعبے کی ترقی کے علاوہ انفراسٹرکچر اور معیشت کو بہتر بنانے سے روزگار کے وسیع مواقع پیدا کرنے میں بھی مدد ملے گی۔
وزیر اعظم آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے وزیر اعظم سردار عبدالقیوم نیازی سے بات کر رہے تھے جنہوں نے یہاں ان سے ملاقات کی اور انہیں آزاد جموں و کشمیر کی حکومت کے جاری عوامی فلاح و بہبود اور سیاحت کے شعبے کے ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی پیشرفت سے آگاہ کیا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق انہوں نے آزاد کشمیر میں احتساب ایکٹ کی بحالی کو خوش آئند قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ ملکی ترقی کے لیے قانون کی حکمرانی اور نظام میں شفافیت ناگزیر ہے۔
