Islamabad: As per a news source, the government of Pakistan has started the land acquisition process for Chahan Dam in order to provide water to seven Union Councils of Rawalpindi. Officials have revealed that the government will award the construction contract on a tender basis as soon as the feasibility report is completed for the project.
The project will be monitored by Small Dams Organisation (SDO) and the government has released PKR 400 million out of a total of PKR 5.30 billion allocated for the project.
