GDA to sell mortgaged plots of 8 housing societies

The decision has been taken after the housing societies violate the by-laws and failed to submit the required documents. In a report issued by GDA Director Engineering Ejaz Akbar Bhatti, it was clearly mentioned that the administrations of the housing societies were violating the by-laws of housing societies.

The housing societies include Sharjah City, Prime City, Green Valley Phase IV, Punjab Garden, Johar City, Master City, Garden Town Phase II, and Abu Bakr Town. These societies did not fulfill the legal requirements and also did not get the mortgage plots transferred.

Taking notice of the report, the GDA DG ordered the Town Planning Director to arrange the auction of mortgage plots of the housing societies. The date for the auctioning of plots has not been announced as yet.
