FBR suspends new property valuation rates till March 2022

According to the news sources, in this connection, the FBR has issued an office memorandum, here on Wednesday, on the review of the valuation of immovable properties.

The new valuation tables of the immovable properties would be re-notified on March 1, 2022. Earlier, the board had suspended the new property valuation rates till February 1, 2022.

According to the details, The FBR had revised upward the values of residential and commercial immovable properties located in 40 major cities across the country.

The FBR is authorized to determine the fair market value of immovable properties in terms of section 68(4) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.

Therefore, the FBR vide SRO No 1534-1572(I)/2021, dated 1 December 2021 issued new valuation tables of properties across 40 major cities with a view to bringing them closer to the actual market prices.

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق اس سلسلے میں ایف بی آر نے بدھ کو یہاں غیر منقولہ جائیدادوں کی ویلیوایشن کے جائزے سے متعلق دفتری میمورنڈم جاری کیا ہے۔
غیر منقولہ جائیدادوں کے نئے ویلیوایشن ٹیبلز کو یکم مارچ 2022 کو دوبارہ مطلع کیا جائے گا۔ اس سے قبل بورڈ نے پراپرٹی کی نئی ویلیو ایشن ریٹس کو یکم فروری 2022 تک معطل کر دیا تھا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق ایف بی آر نے ملک بھر کے 40 بڑے شہروں میں رہائشی اور کمرشل غیر منقولہ جائیدادوں کی قیمتوں میں اضافہ کر دیا ہے۔
ایف بی آر کو انکم ٹیکس آرڈیننس 2001 کے سیکشن 68(4) کے مطابق غیر منقولہ جائیدادوں کی منصفانہ مارکیٹ ویلیو کا تعین کرنے کا اختیار ہے۔
لہذا، ایف بی آر نے (ایس آر او) نمبر 1534-1572(آئ)/2021 کے ذریعے، مورخہ 1 دسمبر 2021 کو 40 بڑے شہروں میں جائیدادوں کے نئے ویلیوایشن ٹیبلز جاری کیے تاکہ انہیں اصل مارکیٹ کی قیمتوں کے قریب لایا جا سکے۔
