Quetta: Under the chairmanship of Senator Kehda Babar Baloch, Senate Standing Committee on Maritime Affairs was held on Gwadar Port. Senator Muhammad Akram Baloch, finance and development officials, Gwadar Port Authority chairman, customs chief collector, and administrators of Chinese companies participated in the meeting.
The committee was briefed on Gwadar Free Zone, preparations of Gwadar Port, Pak-Afghan Transit Trade, and Gwadar Free Zone. Senator Babar Baloch mentioned that the arrangements to handle cargo shipment to Gwadar Port have been completed and all facilities are now available at the port. Moreover, Baloch also informed that Gwadar Free Zone is undergoing at a rapid pace and it will be completed at the end of 2019.
