Third Islamabad-Istanbul freight train reaches tomorrow

According to the news sources, the booking for goods transportation Pakistan by this service has also started in Turkey.

"After starting its journey from Pakistan on December 28, the second train arrived in Istanbul a few days ago. "The soapstone that was taken to Turkey was mostly loaded in the train," a Pakistan Railways official source informed reporters on Friday.

The first train, which was dispatched on December 21 with cargo including pink stone, arrived in Ankara on January 3 via Lahore, Taftan, and Zahedan, completing its 17-day journey in 13 days.

According to the details, the items put onto the train were moved to other bogies (trans-shipment) compatible with the Iranian and Turkish rail/gauge systems before reaching their destination under an agreement. It consisted of eight carts carrying 150 tonnes of pink salt.
