Sindh Government to develop Manora Beach for citizens

The Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab announced on Sunday that a promenade (waterfront) is being developed at Manora Beach for the benefit of citizens.

Murtaza Wahab made the announcement while visiting Manora Beach where he said that the Sindh government and Karachi Development Authority (KDA) will develop a recreational spot at Manora Island.

He said in a statement that the Sindh government is going to make Manora Beach a recreational spot and the development work will be completed by the next six months. He detailed that small restaurants will be established where citizens can enjoy their visit to the beach.

The recreational spot will be developed on a higher place at Manora Island while the citizens can also go to the beach from the location. He added that facilities will also be made available for specially-abled people. Murtaza Wahab said that the government is trying to provide a good environment for the Karachiites.

In a Twitter message, the Karachi administrator said that it only takes 20 minutes now to reach the beach from Tower after the construction of Sandspit & Mauripur Road by the Sindh government.

“We are now developing a promenade/waterfront at Manora Beach for the benefit of citizens. Work is almost complete & will be opened soon.”

کراچی: سندھ حکومت شہریوں کے لطف اندوز ہونے کے لیے منورہ بیچ پر واٹر فرنٹ تیار کر رہی ہے۔ کراچی کے ایڈمنسٹریٹر مرتضیٰ وہاب نے اتوار کو اعلان کیا کہ شہریوں کے فائدے کے لیے منورہ بیچ پر ایک پرومینڈ (واٹر فرنٹ) تیار کیا جا رہا ہے۔ مرتضیٰ وہاب نے یہ اعلان منورہ بیچ کا دورہ کرتے ہوئے کیا جہاں انہوں نے کہا کہ سندھ حکومت اور کراچی ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (کے ڈی اے) منورہ جزیرے پر ایک تفریحی مقام تیار کرے گی۔ انہوں نے ایک بیان میں کہا کہ سندھ حکومت منورہ بیچ کو تفریحی مقام بنانے جا رہی ہے اور اگلے چھ ماہ تک ترقیاتی کام مکمل ہو جائیں گے۔ انہوں نے تفصیل سے بتایا کہ چھوٹے ریستوران قائم کیے جائیں گے جہاں شہری ساحل سمندر پر ان کے دورے سے لطف اندوز ہوسکیں گے۔ تفریحی مقام منورہ جزیرے پر ایک اونچی جگہ پر تیار کیا جائے گا جبکہ شہری اس مقام سے ساحل سمندر پر بھی جا سکتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ خصوصی طور پر معذور افراد کے لیے سہولیات بھی فراہم کی جائیں گی۔ مرتضی وہاب نے کہا کہ حکومت کراچی والوں کو اچھا ماحول فراہم کرنے کی کوشش کر رہی ہے۔ ایک ٹویٹر پیغام میں ، کراچی کے منتظم نے کہا کہ سندھ حکومت کی جانب سے سینڈ سپٹ اور ماوری پور روڈ کی تعمیر کے بعد ٹاور سے ساحل سمندر تک پہنچنے میں صرف 20 منٹ لگتے ہیں۔ "اب ہم شہریوں کے فائدے کے لیے منورہ بیچ پر ایک پرومینڈ/واٹر فرنٹ تیار کر رہے ہیں۔ کام تقریبا complete مکمل ہو چکا ہے اور جلد کھول دیا جائے گا۔
