Senate asked for report from CDA on Safa Gold Mall

While briefing the committee, the owner of Safa Gold Mall said that he brought his 30 years of savings from abroad and purchased a plot in sector F-7 to construct a mall but since then he was being targeted by the CDA. He said that he raised the mall to provide jobs to the countrymen. He said the mall was constructed after getting approval from the CDA yet, he said, he didn’t get a business-friendly attitude from the civic body.

The committee was hearing the public petitions from overseas Pakistanis. The committee directed the CDA to submit a report on the mall issue within 14 days with complete details.

The Committee also took up the Islamabad Rent Restriction Amendment Bill, 2020 moved by Senator Seemi Ezdi. The Islamabad Capital Territory Food Safety Bill 2020 moved by Senator Fawzia Arshad was pending and a Special Committee was constituted for further deliberation on the subject.

The case of an unauthorized encroachment on a farmhouse near Dargah Shah Mirpur Sakro was disposed of. In the case of the investigation of Mr. Lahore’s murder, the Punjab Police was directed to submit an inquiry report within six to eight weeks.

The meeting was chaired by Senator Mohsin Aziz and attended by Leader of the Opposition Senator Yousuf Raza Gillani, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Senator Saifullah Abro, Senator Samina Mumtaz, and others.

اسلام آباد - سینیٹ کی قائمہ کمیٹی برائے داخلہ نے سی ڈی اے سے نجی مال کے معاملے میں 14 دن میں رپورٹ پیش کرنے کو کہا۔

کمیٹی کو بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے صفا گولڈ مال کے مالک نے بتایا کہ وہ اپنی 30 سال کی بچت بیرون ملک سے لے کر آیا ہے اور اس نے مال کی تعمیر کے لئے سیکٹر ایف 7 میں ایک پلاٹ خریدا تھا لیکن تب سے ہی سی ڈی اے کے ذریعہ انھیں نشانہ بنایا جارہا تھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ انہوں نے ملک والوں کو روزگار کی فراہمی کے لئے مال اٹھایا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ مال ابھی تک سی ڈی اے سے منظوری حاصل کرنے کے بعد تعمیر کیا گیا تھا ، انہوں نے کہا ، اسے شہری ادارہ سے کاروباری دوست رویہ نہیں ملا۔
یہ کمیٹی بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کی عوامی درخواستوں کی سماعت کر رہی تھی۔ کمیٹی نے سی ڈی اے کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ مال کے معاملے پر 14 دن کے اندر مکمل تفصیلات کے ساتھ رپورٹ پیش کریں۔

کمیٹی نے سینیٹر سیمی ایزدی کے ذریعہ پیش کردہ اسلام آباد کرایے سے متعلق پابندی ترمیمی بل ، 2020 بھی لیا۔ سینیٹر فوزیہ ارشد کے زیرانتظام اسلام آباد کیپیٹل ٹیریٹری فوڈ سیفٹی بل 2020 زیر التواء ہے اور اس موضوع پر مزید غور و خوض کے لئے ایک خصوصی کمیٹی تشکیل دی گئی ہے۔
درگاہ شاہ میرپور ساکرو کے قریب ایک فارم ہاؤس پر غیر مجاز تجاوزات کا معاملہ نمٹا گیا۔ مسٹر لاہور کے قتل کی تحقیقات کے معاملے میں ، پنجاب پولیس کو چھ سے آٹھ ہفتوں کے اندر تحقیقات کی رپورٹ پیش کرنے کی ہدایت کی گئی تھی۔
