Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa excise and taxation department sealed PESCO’s account section and Allied Bank branch inside the premises of WAPDA house, reported a news source.
The reason for this negative development was revealed to be the non-payment of outstanding liabilities. According to the details, the action was taken after several notices were served to the power company to clear the unpaid dues, however, it failed to comply. Currently, PESCO owes a total of Rs. 1.14 billion in the form of property tax arrears for the three offices in the provincial metropolis.
The Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department warned PESCO officials to clear their dues within the given deadline. Otherwise, all the units of PESCO Peshawar will be sealed after the deadline expires.

اس منفی پیش رفت کی وجہ بقایا واجبات کی عدم ادائیگی بتائی گئی۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق یہ کارروائی بجلی کمپنی کو واجبات کی ادائیگی کے لیے متعدد نوٹس بھیجے جانے کے بعد کی گئی تاہم اس پر عمل درآمد نہیں ہوا۔ فی الحال پیسکو کے ذمے مجموعی طور پر 20000 روپے واجب الادا ہیں۔ صوبائی دارالحکومت میں تین دفاتر کے لیے پراپرٹی ٹیکس کے بقایا جات کی مد میں 1.14 بلین روپے۔
محکمہ ایکسائز ٹیکسیشن اینڈ نارکوٹکس کنٹرول نے پیسکو حکام کو خبردار کیا کہ وہ مقررہ تاریخ کے اندر اپنے واجبات ادا کریں۔ بصورت دیگر ڈیڈ لائن ختم ہونے پر پیسکو پشاور کے تمام یونٹس سیل کر دیے جائیں گے۔
