Lahore: A Memorandum of Understanding, was signed by Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation to help develop tourism and its competitiveness on an annual basis, reported a news source.
The MoU was signed between the director of PTDC Aftab-ur-Rehman Rana and the CEO of Mishal Pakistan, Amir Jahangir. It was agreed to jointly work upon the travel and tourism-related sectors to improve them.
The director of PTDC said that they were actively promoting tourism both locally and internationally through its various initiatives. Added to that the upcoming Tourism Brand Pakistan will help project a soft image of Pakistan as a tourist destination.
The MoU will majorly be focusing on establishing a working relationship between both parties. This would allow them to collect the necessary data on the growth of the tourism sector to produce the national travel and tourism competitiveness index report.

ایم او یو پر پی ٹی ڈی سی کے ڈائریکٹر آفتاب الرحمان رانا اور مشال پاکستان کے سی ای او عامر جہانگیر کے درمیان دستخط ہوئے۔ ٹریول اور سیاحت سے متعلقہ شعبوں کو بہتر بنانے کے لیے مشترکہ طور پر کام کرنے پر اتفاق کیا گیا۔
پی ٹی ڈی سی کے ڈائریکٹر نے کہا کہ وہ اپنے مختلف اقدامات کے ذریعے مقامی اور بین الاقوامی سطح پر سیاحت کو فعال طور پر فروغ دے رہے ہیں۔ اس کے ساتھ ساتھ آنے والا ٹورازم برانڈ پاکستان ایک سیاحتی مقام کے طور پر پاکستان کا ایک سافٹ امیج پیش کرنے میں مدد کرے گا۔
ایم او یو زیادہ تر توجہ دونوں فریقوں کے درمیان ورکنگ ریلیشن شپ قائم کرنے پر مرکوز رکھے گا۔ اس سے وہ سیاحت کے شعبے کی ترقی سے متعلق ضروری ڈیٹا اکٹھا کر سکیں گے تاکہ قومی سفر اور سیاحت کی مسابقتی انڈیکس رپورٹ تیار کی جا سکے۔
