PM to inaugurate construction of 4,000 apartments this week

The LDA project of building 4,000 apartments near Halloki is being undertaken on the vision of the Prime Minister to provide affordable housing to the people with meagre resources under an affordable payment plan.

Speaking to the media, the Vice Chairman LDA said that the construction of 4,000 apartments will serve as the foundation stone of 5 million homes under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Naya Pakistan Housing Project. This project would be constructed near Halloki on 8,500 kanals land.

SM Imran also revealed the details of the project and said that the joint project of LDA and NAPHDA would be funded by the banks. “The apartment would cost Rs. 2.7 million and the allottee would have to pay mere Rs. 270,000 initially. A subsidy from NAPHDA worth Rs. 300,000 would make the initial payment of Rs. 570,000,” said Imran.

He further said that the installment will start once the owner is given possession of the apartment. “There would be no installment during the first 18 months of construction work,” concluded Imran.

ہلوکی کے قریب چار ہزار اپارٹمنٹس بنانے کا ایل ڈی اے منصوبہ وزیر اعظم کے وژن پر چل رہا ہے تاکہ لوگوں کو سستی ادائیگی کے منصوبے کے تحت معمولی وسائل والے لوگوں کو سستی رہائش فراہم کی جاسکے۔

میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے وائس چیئرمین ایل ڈی اے نے کہا کہ وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے نیا پاکستان ہاؤسنگ پروجیکٹ کے تحت 4،000 اپارٹمنٹس کی تعمیر 50 لاکھ گھروں کی سنگ بنیاد ثابت ہوگی۔ یہ پروجیکٹ ہلوکی کے قریب ساڑھے 8 ہزار کنال اراضی پر تعمیر کیا جائے گا۔

ایس ایم عمران نے بھی اس منصوبے کی تفصیلات بتاتے ہوئے کہا کہ ایل ڈی اے اور نیپڈا کے مشترکہ منصوبے کو بینکوں کے ذریعے مالی اعانت فراہم کی جائے گی۔ "اپارٹمنٹ کی لاگت  لاکھ روپے ہے۔ 2.7 ملین اور الاٹ ہونے والے افراد کو ابتدائی طور پر محض 270،000 روپے ادا کرنے ہوں گے۔ این اے پی ایچ ڈی اے کی طرف سے 300،000 لاکھ روپے کی سبسڈی ہوگی، "عمران نے کہا۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ایک بار جب مالک کو اپارٹمنٹ کا قبضہ مل گیا تو قسط شروع ہوجائے گی۔ عمران نے کہا ، "تعمیراتی کام کے پہلے 18 ماہ کے دوران کوئی قسط نہیں ہوگی۔
