People of Lahore to be vaccinated at doorstep

The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department is launching a special vaccination campaign in five big cities of Punjab from July 26 to August 10 to vaccinate the people at their doorstep at the union council level.

According to P&SHD Secretary Sarah Aslam, a minimum of 40 percent population of Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad would be vaccinated in the special campaign.

Moreover, a minimum of 70 percent population of Rawalpindi will also be vaccinated during the campaign. The campaign is being launched at the level of the union council for public convenience.

Special instructions for intensive vaccination drives have been given to all CEOs and other officers concerned. Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Sarah Aslam said only vaccination was the real remedy for COVID-19 and its new Delta variant.

Sarah Aslam highlighted the increase in corona cases as 529 cases were reported in the last 24 hours. As many as 330,986 patients have fully recovered and the number of active cases is 10,757 to date.

Five more deaths were reported in Lahore whereas overall deaths in Punjab were 16, bringing the total number to 10,939 to date. Total tests conducted were 6,048,067 while 17,525 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

محکمہ پرائمری اور سیکنڈری ہیلتھ کیئر یونین کونسل کی سطح پر لوگوں کو ان کے دہلیز پر ویکسینیشن لگانے کے لئے 26 جولائی سے 10 اگست تک پنجاب کے پانچ بڑے شہروں میں ایک خصوصی ویکسینیشن مہم شروع کررہا ہے۔

پی اینڈ ایس ایچ ڈی سکریٹری سارا اسلم کے مطابق خصوصی مہم میں لاہور ، ملتان ، گوجرانوالہ اور فیصل آباد کی کم از کم 40 فیصد آبادی ویکسینیشن لگانے جائے گی۔

مزید یہ کہ مہم کے دوران راولپنڈی کی کم از کم 70 فیصد آبادی کو بھی ویکسینیشن لگانے جائیں گے۔ عوامی سہولت کے لئے یونین کونسل کی سطح پر یہ مہم شروع کی جارہی ہے۔

اس سلسلے میں متعلقہ تمام سی ای او اور دیگر افسران کو ٹیکہ سازی مہم کے سلسلے میں خصوصی ہدایت دی گئی ہے۔ پرائمری اور سیکنڈری ہیلتھ کیئر ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی سکریٹری سارہ اسلم نے کہا کہ کوویڈ 19 اور اس کے نئے ڈیلٹا ایڈیشن کے لئے صرف ویکسینیشن ہی اصل علاج تھا۔

سارہ اسلم نے کورونا کیسوں میں اضافے پر روشنی ڈالی کیونکہ گذشتہ 24 گھنٹوں میں 529 کیس رپورٹ ہوئے۔ ابھی تک 330،986 مریض مکمل طور پر صحت یاب ہوچکے ہیں اور اب تک فعال کیسوں کی تعداد 10،757 ہے۔

لاہور میں پانچ اور اموات کی اطلاع ملی جبکہ پنجاب میں مجموعی طور پر اموات 16 ہوئیں ، جس کی وجہ سے اب تک یہ تعداد 10،939 ہوگئی ہے۔ گذشتہ 24 گھنٹوں کے دوران کئے گئے کل ٹیسٹ 6،048،067 تھے جبکہ 17،525 ٹیسٹ کئے گئے۔
