Pakistan’s GDP growth estimated to be at 5.97%

The NAC has projected the country’s gross domestic product at 5.97 perfect during the current fiscal year. This surpasses the target which had initially been set at 4.8 percent. All the sectors within the economy witnessed the growth of a broad base, such as the agriculture sector and industrial sector being at 4.40 and 7.19 percent respectively. This surpasses the set goal for them which was 3.5 and 6.5 percent.

The overall industrial sector has shown an increase of 7.19 percent. The mining and quarrying sector growth has decreased by 4.47 percent due to a decline in the production of other minerals as well as a decrease in the exploration cost. The Large-Scale Manufacturing Industry is currently driven primarily by QIM data, which shows an increase of 10.4 percent. Major contributors to this growth are food, textile, wearing apparel, wood products, chemicals, iron and steel products, etc. The electricity, gas, and water industry also show a growth of 7.86 percent mainly due to the increase in subsidies from 2021-22

Other factors have also positively contributed towards building up the GDP to almost 6% during the current fiscal year and helped it surpass the set goal.

NAC نے رواں مالی سال کے دوران ملک کی مجموعی گھریلو پیداوار 5.97 کامل رہنے کا اندازہ لگایا ہے۔ یہ ہدف سے زیادہ ہے جو کہ ابتدائی طور پر 4.8 فیصد مقرر کیا گیا تھا۔ معیشت کے اندر تمام شعبوں نے وسیع بنیاد کی ترقی کا مشاہدہ کیا، جیسے کہ زراعت کا شعبہ اور صنعتی شعبہ بالترتیب 4.40 اور 7.19 فیصد رہا۔ یہ ان کے لیے مقررہ ہدف سے زیادہ ہے جو کہ 3.5 اور 6.5 فیصد تھا۔
مجموعی طور پر صنعتی شعبے میں 7.19 فیصد اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ دیگر معدنیات کی پیداوار میں کمی اور تلاش کی لاگت میں کمی کی وجہ سے کان کنی اور کھدائی کے شعبے کی ترقی میں 4.47 فیصد کمی واقع ہوئی ہے۔ بڑے پیمانے پر مینوفیکچرنگ انڈسٹری اس وقت بنیادی طور پر QIM ڈیٹا سے چلتی ہے، جو کہ 10.4 فیصد کا اضافہ ظاہر کرتی ہے۔ اس ترقی میں اہم شراکت دار خوراک، ٹیکسٹائل، پہننے والے ملبوسات، لکڑی کی مصنوعات، کیمیکلز، آئرن اور اسٹیل کی مصنوعات وغیرہ ہیں۔ بجلی، گیس اور پانی کی صنعت میں بھی 7.86 فیصد اضافہ ہوا ہے جس کی بنیادی وجہ 2021 سے سبسڈی میں اضافہ ہے۔ 22
دیگر عوامل نے بھی رواں مالی سال کے دوران جی ڈی پی کو تقریباً 6 فیصد تک بڑھانے میں مثبت کردار ادا کیا ہے اور اسے مقررہ ہدف کو عبور کرنے میں مدد فراہم کی ہے۔
