Owners told to inform police before renting houses in capital

According to the news sources, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Hamza Shafqaat said that the order had been issued in response to a request by the police.

Section 144 has been imposed for two months to bind the owners, dealers, and brokers not to rent out any property without submitting details of the tenant to the police, he added. If the police make such a request, the law will be imposed once again.

While talking to the media shafqaat said that it helps the law enforcement agency get details of each and every person residing in Islamabad. He further added that it was suspected that criminals might rent houses to carry out their activities.

A notification issued from the office of the district magistrate said: “Miscreants tend to be involved in terrorist activities within the authority of ICT by hiding in houses/places taken on rent.

In order to prevent the involvement of miscreants who accomplish their nefarious activities while residing within Islamabad, it is necessary to verify the particulars of persons occupying houses/commercial properties on rent through property dealers/owners on regular basis.”

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق ڈپٹی کمشنر (ڈی سی) محمد حمزہ شفقت نے کہا کہ یہ حکم پولیس کی درخواست کے جواب میں جاری کیا گیا ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ دو ماہ کے لیے دفعہ 144 نافذ کر دی گئی ہے تاکہ مالکان، ڈیلرز اور بروکرز کو پابند کیا جا سکے کہ وہ پولیس کو کرایہ دار کی تفصیلات جمع کرائے بغیر کسی بھی پراپرٹی کو کرائے پر نہ دیں۔ اگر پولیس نے ایسی درخواست کی تو ایک بار پھر قانون نافذ کیا جائے گا۔
میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے شفقت نے کہا کہ اس سے قانون نافذ کرنے والے ادارے کو اسلام آباد میں رہنے والے ہر فرد کی تفصیلات حاصل کرنے میں مدد ملتی ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ یہ شبہ ہے کہ مجرم اپنی سرگرمیاں انجام دینے کے لیے مکانات کرائے پر لے سکتے ہیں۔
ضلع مجسٹریٹ کے دفتر سے جاری کردہ ایک نوٹیفکیشن میں کہا گیا ہے: "شرپسند کرائے پر لیے گئے مکانات/مقامات میں چھپ کر آئی سی ٹی کے اختیار کے اندر دہشت گردانہ سرگرمیوں میں ملوث ہوتے ہیں۔
اسلام آباد کے اندر رہتے ہوئے اپنی مذموم سرگرمیوں کو انجام دینے والے شرپسندوں کی شمولیت کو روکنے کے لیے یہ ضروری ہے کہ کرایہ پر مکانات/ کمرشل املاک پر قبضہ کرنے والے افراد کی تفصیلات پراپرٹی ڈیلرز/ مالکان کے ذریعے باقاعدگی سے تصدیق کی جائیں۔
