Over 4,000 people finally get plots possession in E12

According to the news sources, On Wednesday, 162 of around 1,200 villagers were allotted alternative plots through balloting, paving the way to the resolution of the long-running dispute that had been hampering development in the stalled sector.

The authority, through e-balloting conducted by National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), allotted plots of various sizes to 162 villagers.

Sector E-12 was launched by the CDA in 1989 and over 4,000 people purchased plots. However, despite the passage of 32 years, the plot owners had not been able to get possession.

According to the news sources, after holding several meetings with the CDA and villagers, the commission decided to resolve the compensation issue with around 1,200 people.

Following its recommendation, the CDA conducted balloting for the allotment of 162 plots of various sizes to people whose land and houses had been acquired by the civic body and were entitled to receive alternative plots.

Ali Nawaz Awan special Assistant to the Prime Minister on CDA Affairs has also attended the balloting ceremony.

اتھارٹی نے نیشنل ڈیٹا بیس اینڈ رجسٹریشن اتھارٹی (نادرا) کے ذریعے ای بیلٹنگ کے ذریعے 162 دیہاتیوں کو مختلف سائز کے پلاٹ الاٹ کئے۔
سیکٹر (ای-2) کو (سی ڈی اے) نے 1989 میں شروع کیا تھا اور 4000 سے زیادہ لوگوں نے پلاٹ خریدے تھے۔ تاہم 32 سال گزرنے کے باوجود مالکان کو پلاٹ کا قبضہ نہیں مل سکا۔
خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق سی ڈی اے اور دیہاتیوں کے ساتھ متعدد میٹنگز کے بعد کمیشن نے 1200 کے قریب افراد کے ساتھ معاوضے کا مسئلہ حل کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا۔
اس کی سفارش کے بعد، سی ڈی اے نے ان لوگوں کو مختلف سائز کے 162 پلاٹوں کی الاٹمنٹ کے لیے بیلٹنگ کی جن کی زمینیں اور مکانات شہری ادارے نے حاصل کیے تھے اور وہ متبادل پلاٹ حاصل کرنے کے حقدار تھے۔
بیلٹنگ کی تقریب میں وزیراعظم کے معاون خصوصی برائے سی ڈی اے امور علی نواز اعوان نے بھی شرکت کی۔
