LDA to Begin 2 Major Development Projects to Improve Traffic Flow

A four-lane underpass at Cavalry Chowk, a four-lane flyover at Ghora Chowk, and reconstruction of the Defence Mor junction are all included in the projects. Moreover, a signal-free corridor will be built from Ghora Chowk (Cantt) to Bedian Road (DHA Phase-5 roundabout).

Due to inflation, the estimated cost of the signal-free project has increased from Rs.3.2 billion to over Rs.4.2 billion, with an eight-month completion window.

The project will assist the central regions of Lahore, including as Gulberg, Cantonment, Walton, and surrounding areas, with an estimated 170,000 benefiting vehicles every day.

The sources suggest that the DHA phase-5 roundabout project will cost over Rs.2.8bn, with the completion of the project expected to take six months. The new PC-1 is anticipated to receive quick approval from the planning and development division and the Lahore Development Authority.

یہ منصوبہ لاہور کے وسطی علاقوں بشمول گلبرگ، کنٹونمنٹ، والٹن اور آس پاس کے علاقوں کو مدد فراہم کرے گا، جس سے روزانہ ایک اندازے کے مطابق 170,000 گاڑیاں مستفید ہو رہی ہیں۔
ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ ڈی ایچ اے فیز 5 راؤنڈ اباؤٹ پراجیکٹ پر 2.8 بلین روپے لاگت آئے گی، اس منصوبے کی تکمیل میں چھ ماہ لگنے کی امید ہے۔
نئے PC-1 کو پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ ڈویژن اور لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی سے جلد منظوری ملنے کی توقع ہے۔
