LDA to announce new master plan for Lahore in 1.5 year

The consultants of the master plan entrusted with the preparation of the plan and have decided to extend all possible support of attaining the required information and data from other related departments.

A new master plan will be prepared by keeping all of the aspects, requirements, and demands of the city under consideration. It is expected to be completed by the next 18 months and will cover the aspects related to the developments that can be required by the city until 2050.  

LDA has shortened the list to three consortia that met the eligibility criteria for the preparation of the new Lahore Master Plan 2050. The pre-qualifying consortium included Dar Al-Hindsa, Mine Heart, and Nespak. These companies have been issued requests for proposals for submitting their technical and financial bids till October 19, 2020.

In addition to Lahore, a master plan will also be preparing for 49 urban settlements in Sheikhupura, Nankana, and Kasur. The LDA DG said the new master plan will be prepared for all urban and rural areas within the limits of the Lahore division.

The preparation of the new master plan will ensure environmental protection, sensible use of resources, preservation of historical heritage, promotion of economic activities, and inclusion of all sections of the population.

لاہور: لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل احمد عزیز تارڑ نے کہا ہے کہ ترقی اور اپ گریڈ کے لئے نیا ماسٹر پلان آئندہ 1.5 سال میں پیش کرنے کے لئے تیار ہوجائے گا۔

ماسٹر پلان کے مشیروں کو منصوبہ کی تیاری کا ذمہ سونپا گیا ہے اور انہوں نے دیگر متعلقہ محکموں سے مطلوبہ معلومات اور ڈیٹا حاصل کرنے کے لئے ہر ممکن تعاون میں توسیع کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔

شہر کے تمام پہلوؤں ، تقاضوں اور مطالبات کو زیر غور رکھتے ہوئے نیا ماسٹر پلان تیار کیا جائے گا۔ یہ آئندہ 18 ماہ تک مکمل ہونے کی امید ہے اور اس میں پیشرفت سے وابستہ پہلوؤں کا احاطہ کیا جائے گا جو 2050 تک شہر کی ضرورت ہوسکتی ہیں۔

ایل ڈی اے نے فہرست کو تین کنسورشیا تک محدود کردیا ہے جو نئے لاہور ماسٹر پلان 2050 کی تیاری کے لئے اہلیت کے معیار پر پورا اترے ہیں۔ پہلے سے کوالیفائنگ کنسورشیم میں دار الہندسا ، مائن ہارٹ اور نیسپاک شامل تھے۔ ان کمپنیوں کو 19 اکتوبر 2020 تک اپنی تکنیکی اور مالی بولیاں جمع کروانے کی تجویز کے لئے درخواست جاری کی گئی ہے۔

لاہور کے علاوہ شیخوپورہ ، ننکانہ ، اور قصور میں 49 شہری بستیوں کے لئے بھی ماسٹر پلان تیار کیا جائے گا۔ ایل ڈی اے ڈی جی نے بتایا کہ نیا ماسٹر پلان لاہور ڈویژن کی حدود میں تمام شہری اور دیہی علاقوں کے لئے تیار کیا جائے گا۔

نئے ماسٹر پلان کی تیاری سے ماحولیاتی تحفظ ، وسائل کا سمجھدار استعمال ، تاریخی ورثے کا تحفظ ، معاشی سرگرمیوں کے فروغ اور آبادی کے تمام حصوں کو شامل کرنے کو یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔
