(Lahore – September 2019) In order to overcome the shortage of new housing units in the provincial capital, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has notified new building and zoning regulations for implementation.
The new building and zoning rules are aimed at pulling real estate housing and construction sectors out of misery due to changes in taxation and increasing prices of construction materials. As per the new regulations, LDA has given relaxation on the plot size and building height requirements for the construction of multi-story residential apartment buildings. What impact it would have, only time will tell!
