KP govt finalizes summer festivals to promote tourism

The was stated in a meeting that was chaired by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan to review the progress on various initiatives taken by the KP Govt. to boost the tourism ratio in the province. It also helps the country’s economy to flourish in a better way.

The meeting was attended by Zulfikar Bukhari, Secretary Tourism Department Abid Majeed, Managing Director, PTDC IntikhabAlam, Managing Director KP Tourism, and Culture Authority Junaid Khan, and other major officials and important personalities of the province.

Activities include DeraJaat Festival, Tor de Khyber Cycling Race, Mountain Bike Rally, Qaqlasht Festival, ChelumJusht Festival, Kurram Festival, Hazara Musical Festival, Shandur Polo Festival, Naran Festival, 4x4 Trans Himalayan Rally, and Kailash Ochau Festival.

These activities are expected to attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists and necessary steps are being taken to ensure maximum facilitation to the tourists.

The activities will be held between March and August this year for which the Tourism, Sports and Culture Department is giving final touches to arrangements and preparations.

Similarly, websites and mobile apps have been developed for providing online details of hotels, rest houses, camping pods, and other essential services and facilities in tourist destinations adding that now all types of tourist information are available to the tourists online.

Briefing the meeting about progress on various initiatives/ projects for the promotion of tourism in the province, it was informed that geo-mapping and profiling of all tourist destinations in the province had been completed and put on Google maps for the convenience of domestic and foreign tourists.

It was informed that progress on the task to identify and develop 10 potential tourist spots in the province was as per the given timelines, and added that In this regard a contract has been awarded for feasibility and master planning which would be completed by July this year.

The participants of the meeting were informed that a Tourist Facilitation Hub with a 24/7 helpline has also been established for the convenience of tourists, and tourists can get any kind of help, service, and information by using a helpline number 1422, it was informed.

یہ بات وزیر اعلیٰ محمود خان کی زیر صدارت ایک اجلاس میں کہی گئی جس میں خیبر پختونخواہ حکومت کے مختلف اقدامات پر پیشرفت کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔ تاکہ صوبے میں سیاحت کے راشن کو فروغ دیا جاسکے۔ اس سے ملک کی معیشت کو بہتر طریقے سے فروغ پانے میں بھی مدد ملتی ہے۔

اجلاس میں ذوالفقار بخاری ، سیکرٹری سیاحت محکمہ عابد مجید ، منیجنگ ڈائریکٹر ، پی ٹی ڈی سی انتھاب عالم ، منیجنگ ڈائریکٹر کے پی ٹورزم اینڈ کلچر اتھارٹی جنید خان اور دیگر اہم عہدیداران اور صوبے کی اہم شخصیات نے شرکت کی۔

سرگرمیوں میں ڈیرہ جاٹ فیسٹیول ، ٹور ڈی خیبر سائیکلنگ ریس ، ماؤنٹین بائک ریلی ، قلاشت فیسٹیول ، چیلم جشن فیسٹیول ، کرم فیسٹیول ، ہزارہ میوزیکل فیسٹیول ، شندور پولو فیسٹیول ، ناران فیسٹیول ، 4 ایکس 4 ٹرانس ہمالیان ریلی اور کیلاش اوچو فیسٹیول شامل ہیں۔

توقع ہے کہ ان سرگرمیوں سے بڑی تعداد میں ملکی و غیر ملکی سیاح راغب ہوں گے اور سیاحوں کو زیادہ سے زیادہ سہولت کو یقینی بنانے کے لئے ضروری اقدامات اٹھائے جارہے ہیں۔

یہ سرگرمیاں رواں سال مارچ سے اگست کے درمیان ہوں گی جس کے لئے محکمہ سیاحت ، کھیل اور ثقافت انتظامات اور تیاریوں کو حتمی شکل دے رہی ہے۔

اسی طرح ، سیاحتی مقامات میں ہوٹلوں ، ریسٹ ہاؤسز ، کیمپنگ پوڈوں اور دیگر ضروری خدمات اور سہولیات کی آن لائن تفصیلات فراہم کرنے کے لئے ویب سائٹ اور موبائل ایپس تیار کی گئیں ہیں اور مزید کہا ہے کہ اب سیاحوں کو ہر قسم کی معلومات آن لائن دستیاب ہیں۔

اجلاس کو صوبے میں سیاحت کے فروغ کے لئے مختلف اقدامات / منصوبوں پر پیشرفت کے بارے میں بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے بتایا گیا کہ صوبے میں تمام سیاحتی مقامات کی جیو میپنگ اور پروفائلنگ مکمل ہوچکی ہے اور اسے ملکی اور غیر ملکی سہولت کے لئے گوگل کے نقشے پر ڈال دیا گیا ہے۔

بتایا گیا کہ صوبے میں 10 ممکنہ سیاحتی مقامات کی نشاندہی اور نشوونما کرنے کے کام میں پیشرفت مقررہ وقت کے مطابق ہے ، اور مزید کہا گیا ہے کہ اس سلسلے میں فزیبلٹی اور ماسٹر پلاننگ کے لئے ایک معاہدہ کیا گیا ہے جو رواں سال جولائی تک مکمل ہوجائے گا۔ .

اجلاس کے شرکا کو بتایا گیا کہ سیاحوں کی سہولت کے لئے 24/7 ہیلپ لائن والا ٹورسٹ فیلیسیٹیشن ہب بھی قائم کیا گیا ہے ، اور سیاح ہیلپ لائن نمبر 1422 کا استعمال کرکے کسی بھی طرح کی مدد ، خدمت اور معلومات حاصل کرسکتے ہیں۔
