KMC to set up health city in Manghopir

With the establishment of the Health City, people of Manghopir, Nazimabad, New Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, Orangi Town, and adjoining areas will be able to get treatment for various diseases at one place,” KMC Administrator Laeeq Ahmed.

It was decided at the meeting that a state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory would be set up in the health city along with a rehabilitation centre for drug addicts. As Manghopir is considered to be in the outskirts of Karachi, residential flats would be constructed for permanent residences of doctors and paramedical staff stationed there, the meeting decided.

Ahmed said the treatment at the leprosy hospital would be upgraded according to modern research. Proposals were also under consideration to upgrade the existing eye and dental units at the health facility, he added.

He said social and welfare institutions in Karachi were rendering outstanding services in the field of medicine and they were at the forefront of serving the citizens. “The citizens of Karachi have always played an important role in setting up large institutions and these institutions are running thanks to their full financial support and cooperation.

The best examples of this are the Indus Hospital and Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation,” the KMC administrator remarked.

اجلاس میں فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ منشیات کے عادی افراد کے لئے بحالی مرکز کے ساتھ ساتھ صحت شہر میں جدید ترین تشخیصی لیبارٹری قائم کی جائے گی۔ چونکہ منگھو پیر کو کراچی کے مضافاتی علاقوں میں سمجھا جاتا ہے ، ڈاکٹروں اور پیرامیڈیکل عملے کی مستقل رہائش کے لئے رہائشی فلیٹ تعمیر کیے جائیں گے ، اجلاس نے فیصلہ کیا۔
احمد نے کہا کہ جدید تحقیق کے مطابق کوڑھ کے اسپتال میں علاج کو اپ گریڈ کیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ صحت کی سہولت پر موجود آنکھوں اور دانتوں کے موجودہ یونٹوں کو اپ گریڈ کرنے کے لئے تجاویز پر بھی غور کیا جارہا ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ کراچی میں سماجی اور فلاحی ادارے طب کے شعبے میں نمایاں خدمات انجام دے رہے ہیں اور وہ شہریوں کی خدمت میں سرفہرست ہیں۔ “کراچی کے شہریوں نے ہمیشہ بڑے اداروں کے قیام میں اہم کردار ادا کیا ہے اور یہ ادارے ان کی مکمل مالی مدد اور تعاون کی بدولت چل رہے ہیں۔
