KMC to construct roads and beautify footpaths

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) will majorly focus upon the plantation as well as the beautification of footpaths under the scheme of construction of the roads.

Laeeq Ahmed, the KMC Administrator gave direction regarding focusing on beautifying footpaths and plantation, along with the construction of roads. He has given these instructions after visiting different roads in the process of construction by KMC.

He said that computerized data and updates are kept regarding this survey and about the construction work. Furthermore, he added that all the data of 106 roads that are under the administrative control of KMC is gathered by the corporation. Also, the general public will have direct access to this data.

The concerned officials present over this occasion were Director-General Parks and Horticulture Taha Saleem, Director General Works Shabeeh ul Hassan, Senior Director Coordination Khalid Khan, and some other relevant officials. 

The KMC administrator had a deep look over MA Jinnah Road`s work and gave instructions for the installation of lane marks and cat eyes over this road. He also told that Rs 20 million is spent over the renovation of New MA Jinnah Road.

Additionally, he instructed the parks director-general on the plantation of trees on the road to provide a healthier environment to the public and to reduce pollution.

کے ایم سی ایڈمنسٹریٹر لایق احمد نے سڑکوں کی تعمیر کے ساتھ ساتھ فٹ پاتھوں اور پودے لگانے پر بھی توجہ دینے کے بارے میں ہدایت دی۔ انہوں نے یہ ہدایات کے ایم سی کے ذریعہ تعمیر کے عمل میں مختلف سڑکوں کا دورہ کرنے کے بعد دی ہیں۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ اس سروے اور تعمیراتی کام کے حوالے سے کمپیوٹرائزڈ ڈیٹا اور اپ ڈیٹ رکھے گئے ہیں۔ مزید یہ کہ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ 106 سڑکوں کے تمام اعداد و شمار جو کے ایم سی کے زیر انتظام ہیں۔ نیز ، عام لوگوں کو اس اعداد و شمار تک براہ راست رسائی حاصل ہوگی۔

اس موقع پر موجود متعلقہ عہدیداران میں ڈائریکٹر جنرل پارکس اینڈ ہارٹیکلچر تہا سلیم ، ڈائریکٹر جنرل ورکس شبیح الحسن ، سینئر ڈائریکٹر کوآرڈینیشن خالد خان ، اور کچھ دیگر متعلقہ عہدیدار موجود تھے۔

کے ایم سی ایڈمنسٹریٹر نے ایم اے جناح روڈ کے کام پر گہری نگاہ رکھی اور اس روڈ پر لین کے نشانوں اور بلیوں کی آنکھوں کی تنصیب کے لئے ہدایات دیں۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی بتایا کہ نیو ایم اے جناح روڈ کی تزئین و آرائش پر 20 ملین روپے خرچ ہوئے ہیں۔

مزید برآں ، انہوں نے پارکس کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ عوام کو صحت مند ماحول فراہم کریں اور آلودگی کو کم کریں۔
