KMC parks and horticulture department starts pruning trees on roads

The branches of the trees should be trimmed so that they do not obstruct the traffic, KMC Administrator Laeeq Ahmed Khan directed the parks department. According to a statement issued by the KMC, the staff of the parks and horticulture department was working at Sharae Faisal, Kidney Hill Park, Aziz Bhatti Park, Shaheed Millat Road, University Road and other places.

Civil society and various welfare organisations, including Faizan Global Relief Foundation, NED University of Engineering and Technology and Rotary International, were also assisting the KMC in this regard.

Ahmed said trees that had grown disorderly on the sides of the roads or green belts should be pruned immediately.

"Tree plantation should be done in accordance with the basic principles of horticulture and priority be given to plant those trees which create a beautiful and lush green environment," the administrator directed.

کے ایم سی کی طرف سے جاری بیان کے مطابق ، پارکس اینڈ ہارٹیکلچر ڈپارٹمنٹ کا عملہ شاھراہ فیصل ، کڈنی ہل پارک ، عزیز بھٹی پارک ، شہید ملت روڈ ، یونیورسٹی روڈ اور دیگر مقامات پر کام کر رہا تھا۔
اس سلسلے میں فیضان گلوبل ریلیف فاؤنڈیشن ، این ای ڈی یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹکنالوجی اور روٹری انٹرنیشنل سمیت سول سوسائٹی اور مختلف فلاحی تنظیمیں بھی کے ایم سی کی مدد کر رہی ہیں۔
احمد نے کہا کہ جو درخت سڑکوں یا گرین بیلٹ کے اطراف میں اضطراب پھیلا چکے ہیں انہیں فوری طور پر کاٹنا چاہئے۔
منتظمین نے ہدایت دی کہ "درخت لگانے کا عمل باغبانی کے بنیادی اصولوں کے مطابق کیا جانا چاہئے اور ان درختوں کو لگانے میں ترجیح دی جانی چاہئے جو ایک خوبصورت اور سرسبز ماحول پیدا کرتے ہیں۔"
