Rahim Yar Khan: The rapid growth of new housing schemes in four tehsils of Rahim Yar Khan (RYK)is on the rise and these housing projects are selling plots without approval from the concerned authorities and municipal committees. A lot of buyers have bought the plots in the housing schemes without knowing the status of the housing schemes.
Buyers, who have purchased the plots, have also started constructing their houses and they have been trapped because some of them have either been stopped by the court of law and others have not yet been allowed to do so. As per the sources, there are 28 housing schemes in RYK out of which only one is approved, 20 are in the process, while 7 are illegal.
Similarly, in Khanpur, there are 9 illegal housing schemes, 5 are in the process, and no approved housing society.
