Gwadar Free Zone Phase-II Goes Into Formal Action

Within 32 weeks since the Prime Minister of Pakistan visited phase-II of the Gwadar Free Zone on July 5, 2021, the development has gone into formal action.
He had also launched a number of other development and infrastructure projects, including an expo center, agriculture industrial park, and three factories.

Two Chinese companies, namely Agvon and Hang Geng have been allocated 10 acres of land, Hang Geng will start their infrastructure work once they finish their mandatory licensing process. Agvon on the other hand has already started their physical work by working on a soil testing investigation which is in accordance with their first phase of the infrastructure plan.

Several other companies were allocated with one acre of land, and they’ll all start working once the mandatory procedures have been completed.

A COPHC official reported that there is another big company that has aspired for the allocation of 7.5 square km of land, out of a total of 9.3 square km of the land of Gwadar Free Zone phase-II. This company also plans on investing around $3billion which would result in around 30,000 jobs being available.

A senior official claimed that both the Gwadar Free Zones will produce over $10Billion per annum.

وزیر اعظم پاکستان نے 5 جولائی 2021 کو گوادر فری زون کے دوسرے مرحلے کا دورہ کیے 32 ہفتوں کے اندر اندر یہ پیش رفت باضابطہ کارروائی میں چلی گئی ہے۔
انہوں نے متعدد دیگر ترقیاتی اور بنیادی ڈھانچے کے منصوبوں کا بھی آغاز کیا تھا جن میں ایکسپو سینٹر، زراعت صنعتی پارک اور تین فیکٹریاں شامل ہیں۔
دو چینی کمپنیوں یعنی اگون اور ہینگ گینگ کو 10 ایکڑ اراضی مختص کی گئی ہے، ہینگ گینگ لائسنس کا لازمی عمل مکمل ہونے کے بعد اپنے بنیادی ڈھانچے کا کام شروع کر دے گا۔ دوسری جانب اگون نے پہلے ہی مٹی کی جانچ کی تحقیقات پر کام کرکے اپنا جسمانی کام شروع کردیا ہے جو بنیادی ڈھانچے کے منصوبے کے ان کے پہلے مرحلے کے مطابق ہے۔
کئی دیگر کمپنیوں کو ایک ایکڑ اراضی کے ساتھ مختص کیا گیا تھا اور لازمی طریقہ کار مکمل ہونے کے بعد وہ سب کام شروع کر دیں گی۔
سی او پی ایچ سی کے ایک عہدیدار نے اطلاع دی ہے کہ ایک اور بڑی کمپنی ہے جو گوادر فری زون کے دوسرے مرحلے کی کل 9.3 مربع کلومیٹر زمین میں سے 7.5 مربع کلومیٹر اراضی مختص کرنے کی خواہش مند ہے۔ یہ کمپنی تقریبا 3ارب ڈالر کی سرمایہ کاری کا بھی ارادہ رکھتی ہے جس کے نتیجے میں تقریبا 30,000 ملازمتیں دستیاب ہوں گی۔
ایک سینئر عہدیدار نے دعوی کیا کہ دونوں گوادر فری زونز سالانہ 10 ارب ڈالر سے زیادہ کی پیداوار کریں گے۔
