Govt Plans to Double Number of Software Technology Parks Within a Year

According to the news sources, Syed Aminul Haque, the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications said that all efforts had been made to improve technology access in small towns and cities. He also added that the number of software technology parks will nearly increase to 40 within a year.

While talking to the media on the inauguration of Amazon Software Technology Park in Rawalpindi he said that “Currently, the country has 22 software technology parks, with the number expected to rise to 40 by December 2022. The expansion is primarily in second-tier cities and towns,”

He stated that secondary cities have been given special attention in order to facilitate the development of the IT industry across the country.

Moreover, the most major benefit of this policy is that it focuses on women’s empowerment, as per the minister.

He further said that a huge percentage of women can work as freelancers or on a project while being at home.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق وفاقی وزیر برائے انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی اینڈ ٹیلی کمیونیکیشن سید امین الحق نے کہا کہ چھوٹے شہروں اور شہروں میں ٹیکنالوجی کی رسائی کو بہتر بنانے کے لیے تمام کوششیں کی گئی ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سافٹ ویئر ٹیکنالوجی پارکس کی تعداد ایک سال کے اندر تقریباً 40 تک بڑھ جائے گی۔
راولپنڈی میں ایمیزون سافٹ ویئر ٹیکنالوجی پارک کے افتتاح کے موقع پر میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ اس وقت ملک میں 22 سافٹ ویئر ٹیکنالوجی پارکس ہیں جن کی تعداد دسمبر 2022 تک بڑھ کر 40 ہو جائے گی۔ توسیع بنیادی طور پر دوسرے درجے کے شہروں میں ہے۔ "
انہوں نے کہا کہ ملک بھر میں آئی ٹی انڈسٹری کی ترقی کو آسان بنانے کے لیے ثانوی شہروں پر خصوصی توجہ دی گئی ہے۔
مزید یہ کہ اس پالیسی کا سب سے بڑا فائدہ یہ ہے کہ اس میں خواتین کو بااختیار بنانے پر توجہ دی گئی ہے.
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ خواتین کی ایک بڑی تعداد گھر میں رہتے ہوئے فری لانس یا کسی پروجیکٹ پر کام کر سکتی ہے۔
