Five monuments to beautify Haripur city

While talking to media here on Sunday, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Tabina Tariq said that to enhance the beauty of Haripur, the district administration is carrying out a plan to construct five monuments in different parts of the Haripur city.

Two of them have been completed while the work on the three others is under progress, she said, adding the construction of work is scheduled to be completed within the next couple of months.

The official said with the approval uplift and beautification plan from the provincial government, she was tasked to devise the beautification plan for Haripur and after discussions with seniors and local political leadership, some private firms with expertise in the beautification of cities were shortlisted through the e-tendering process.

According to the details, she said it was decided that five monuments worth Rs 30 million would be constructed at the main points of the city which included, Shah Maqsood Roundabout, Darwesh Chowk, Zero point of the Bypass Road, Chechiyan Interchange of Hazara Motorway, and Chappar Road.

ایڈیشنل ڈپٹی کمشنر فنانس اینڈ پلاننگ تابینہ طارق نے اتوار کو یہاں میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ہری پور کی خوبصورتی میں اضافے کے لیے ضلعی انتظامیہ ہری پور شہر کے مختلف علاقوں میں پانچ یادگاروں کی تعمیر کا منصوبہ بنا رہی ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ان میں سے دو مکمل ہو چکے ہیں جبکہ تین دیگر پر کام جاری ہے، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ کام اگلے دو مہینوں میں مکمل ہونا ہے۔
اہلکار نے کہا کہ صوبائی حکومت کی جانب سے اپ لفٹ اور بیوٹیفکیشن پلان کی منظوری کے ساتھ، انہیں ہری پور کے لیے بیوٹیفکیشن پلان وضع کرنے کا کام سونپا گیا تھا اور سینئرز اور مقامی سیاسی قیادت کے ساتھ بات چیت کے بعد، شہروں کی خوبصورتی میں مہارت رکھنے والی کچھ نجی فرموں کو ای کے ذریعے شارٹ لسٹ کیا گیا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق انہوں نے کہا کہ فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے کہ شہر کے اہم مقامات پر 30 ملین روپے کی لاگت سے پانچ یادگاریں تعمیر کی جائیں گی جن میں شاہ مقصود گول چکر، درویش چوک، بائی پاس روڈ کا زیرو پوائنٹ، ہزارہ موٹروے کا چیچیاں انٹر چینج اور چھپر روڈ شامل ہیں.
