Entrance of CPEC into important Phase

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is entering an important phase as the projects will be built under it be relevant not just to infrastructure, but other major areas too.

Just as the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government worked day, and night to stop the spread of Covid-19, it would endeavor to make every project launched under the shadow of CPEC a success, said by the Asad Umar.

He spoke at an event which was held at the port in order to mark the arrival of the equipment, and machinery with the purpose of setting up a steel mill in the Special Economic Zone of Rashakai. 

Mr. Umar marked the occasion another demonstration of the friendly relations between Pakistan and China.

Due to the extraordinary efforts put in by the two countries, the first phase of CPEC had been accomplished, said the consul general.

“We are quite confident of attracting more and more investments to the Rashakai SEZ,” said Mr. Li.

He additionally thanked the Pakistan government, especially the chairman of the CPEC Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa, for his determined efforts to transform CPEC into a success story.

He said the arrival of equipment and machinery for the Century Steel’s plant at Rashakai was just a beginning as several more projects were in the pipeline.

Besides the federal minister and the Chinese consul general, Mr. Bajwa, representatives of Century Steel, and officers of the Karachi Port Trust were present on the occasion.

وفاقی وزیر منصوبہ بندی و ترقیات اسد عمر نے کہا کہ چین پاکستان اقتصادی راہداری (سی پی ای سی) ایک اہم مرحلے میں داخل ہورہی ہے کیونکہ اس کے تحت بنائے جانے والے منصوبے نہ صرف انفراسٹرکچر سے متعلق ہوں گے بلکہ دیگر اہم شعبوں میں بھی اس سے متعلق ہوں گے۔

اسد عمر نے کہا ، جس طرح پاکستان تحریک انصاف (پی ٹی آئی) کی حکومت نے کوویڈ 19 کے پھیلاؤ کو روکنے کے لئے دن رات کام کیا ، اس طرح سی پی ای سی کے زیر سایہ ہر منصوبے کو کامیاب بنانے کی کوشش کی جائے گی ، اسد عمر نے کہا۔

انہوں نے رشاکیئی کے خصوصی اقتصادی زون میں اسٹیل مل کے قیام کے مقصد سے سامان اور مشینری کی آمد کے موقع پر بندرگاہ پر منعقدہ ایک تقریب سے خطاب کیا۔

مسٹر عمر نے اس موقع پر پاکستان اور چین کے مابین دوستانہ تعلقات کا ایک اور مظاہرہ کیا۔

قونصل جنرل نے بتایا کہ دونوں ممالک کی طرف سے پیش کی گئی غیر معمولی کوششوں کی وجہ سے ، سی پی ای سی کا پہلا مرحلہ انجام پایا ہے۔

مسٹر لی نے کہا ، "ہم راشاکئی ایس زیڈ میں زیادہ سے زیادہ سرمایہ کاریوں کو راغب کرنے پر کافی حد تک پراعتماد ہیں۔
انہوں نے اضافی طور پر پاکستان حکومت ، خاص طور پر سی پی ای سی اتھارٹی کے چیئرمین عاصم سلیم باجوہ کا شکریہ ادا کیا کہ انہوں نے سی پی ای سی کو ایک کامیاب کہانی میں تبدیل کرنے کی پرعزم کوششوں پر بھی شکریہ ادا کیا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ راشاکیئی میں سنچری اسٹیل کے پلانٹ کے لئے آلات اور مشینری کی آمد محض ایک شروعات تھی کیونکہ متعدد مزید منصوبے پائپ لائن میں تھے۔

اس موقع پر وفاقی وزیر اور چینی قونصل جنرل مسٹر باجوہ کے علاوہ سنچری اسٹیل کے نمائندے اور کراچی پورٹ ٹرسٹ کے افسران موجود تھے۔
