CM orders launch of electric tram road project

According to the news sources, it would help travelers’ access to motorways while reducing the traffic burden at Canal Road and Multan Road.

The chief minister was chairing a meeting at his office on Tuesday about the launch of the project. The elevated expressway project from Gulberg to Motorway M-2 was also deliberated upon by the participants.

According to the news sources, the elevated expressway would pass through Canal Bank Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Multan Road, Bund Road to Babu Sabu where interchanges would be constructed.

Lahore Development Authority Director-General briefed about the project. The attendees of the meeting include the Adviser to chief minister Dr. Salman Shah, ACS, chairman P&D, secretaries of transport and housing departments, DG Punjab Mass transit Authority.

DEVELOPMENT: The CM has said the resources have not been limited to some specific cities like the past as the development journey has been expanded to remote and backward areas equally.

He said this during a meeting with Provincial Minister Syed Sumsam Ali Bukhari, MNA Rai Muhammad Murtaza Iqbal, and PTI leader Rai Hassan Nawaz who called on him at CM’s office and discussed matters of mutual interest.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق ایلیویٹڈ ایکسپریس وے کینال بنک روڈ، جیل روڈ، فیروز پور روڈ، ملتان روڈ، بند روڈ سے بابو صابو تک گزرے گی جہاں انٹر چینجز بنائے جائیں گے۔
لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل نے منصوبے کے بارے میں بریفنگ دی۔ اجلاس میں وزیر اعلیٰ کے مشیر ڈاکٹر سلمان شاہ، اے سی ایس، چیئرمین پی اینڈ ڈی، محکمہ ٹرانسپورٹ اور ہاؤسنگ کے سیکرٹریز، ڈی جی پنجاب ماس ٹرانزٹ اتھارٹی شامل تھے۔ وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا ہے کہ وسائل ماضی کی طرح کچھ مخصوص شہروں تک محدود نہیں رہے کیونکہ ترقی کا سفر دور دراز اور پسماندہ علاقوں تک یکساں طور پر پھیلا ہوا ہے۔
انہوں نے یہ بات صوبائی وزیر سید صمصام علی بخاری، ایم این اے رائے محمد مرتضیٰ اقبال اور پی ٹی آئی رہنما رائے حسن نواز سے ملاقات کے دوران کہی جنہوں نے ان سے وزیراعلیٰ آفس میں ملاقات کی اور باہمی دلچسپی کے امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔
