Clean and Green Pakistan’ govt’s flagship programme: CM

Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and discussed the matters of the “Clean and Green Pakistan” program, political issues, and ongoing development projects in southern Punjab.

The chief minister termed the “Clean and Green Pakistan” initiative a flagship program of the PTI government. He said that for the first time in the history of Pakistan, the PTI government had paid attention to keeping the environment clean.

Miyawaki forests were being planted for the urban forest stations, he added. He said that the government had also planted trees in remote areas along with urban areas as clean and pollution-free air was the basic right of every citizen.

 Usman Buzdar said that corruption, irregularities, and plundering of the former rulers spread political pollution.

Those who were involved in politics of self-interest had no future, he added. He said that the PTI government had given a new identity to southern Punjab by establishing the southern Punjab Secretariat.

The chief minister said that by approving the Rules of Business for Southern Punjab Secretariat, the government had fulfilled its other promise with the people, adding that the historic initiative would solve the problems of the people of southern Punjab at the local level.

Usman Buzdar said that in the past funds of southern Punjab were utilized on other projects whereas the PTI government, for the development and progress of people of the area, had ring-fenced the development budget of southern Punjab and Rs189 billion had been allocated for the purpose in the current financial year.

He said that the foundation stone of the southern Punjab Secretariat would soon be laid in Bahawalpur after Multan.

وزیر مملکت برائے موسمیاتی تبدیلی زرتاج گل نے وزیراعلیٰ سردار عثمان بزدار سے ملاقات کی ، اور "کلین اینڈ گرین پاکستان" پروگرام ، سیاسی امور اور جنوبی پنجاب میں جاری ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے معاملات پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے "کلین اینڈ گرین پاکستان" اقدام کو پی ٹی آئی حکومت کا ایک اہم پروگرام قرار دیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان کی تاریخ میں پہلی بار پی ٹی آئی حکومت نے ماحول کو صاف رکھنے پر توجہ دی ہے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ میاواکی جنگلات شہری جنگلات کے اسٹیشنوں کے لیے لگائے جا رہے تھے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت نے شہری علاقوں کے ساتھ دور دراز علاقوں میں بھی درخت لگائے ہیں کیونکہ صاف اور آلودگی سے پاک ہوا ہر شہری کا بنیادی حق ہے۔

عثمان بزدار نے کہا کہ سابق حکمرانوں کی بدعنوانی ، بے ضابطگیوں اور لوٹ مار سے سیاسی آلودگی پھیلتی ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ جو لوگ مفادات کی سیاست میں ملوث تھے ان کا کوئی مستقبل نہیں تھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پی ٹی آئی حکومت نے جنوبی پنجاب سیکریٹریٹ قائم کرکے جنوبی پنجاب کو نئی شناخت دی ہے۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ جنوبی پنجاب سیکریٹریٹ کے لیے رولز آف بزنس کی منظوری دے کر حکومت نے عوام کے ساتھ اپنے ایک اور وعدے کو پورا کیا ہے ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ تاریخی اقدام مقامی سطح پر جنوبی پنجاب کے لوگوں کے مسائل حل کرے گا۔
عثمان بزدار نے کہا کہ ماضی میں جنوبی پنجاب کے فنڈز دوسرے منصوبوں پر استعمال ہوتے تھے جبکہ پی ٹی آئی حکومت نے علاقے کے لوگوں کی ترقی اور ترقی کے لیے جنوبی پنجاب کے ترقیاتی بجٹ کو باڑ لگا دی تھی اور اس مقصد کے لیے 189 ارب روپے مختص کیے گئے تھے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ جنوبی پنجاب سیکرٹریٹ کا سنگ بنیاد جلد ملتان کے بعد بہاولپور میں رکھا جائے گا۔
