LAHORE: In a letter of The District Education Authority (DEA) chief executive officer to the School Education Department (SED) secretary requesting for school’s land issuance in Lahore to address the issue of out-of-school children (OOSC).
Dawn news: It is stated that 6.5 million students are enrolled in 1,121 Govt. Schools in District Lahore. But there is a requirement for more schools to accommodate out-of-school children.
There are an estimated 7.7 million out-of-school children in Punjab. In Article 25-A of Constitution of Pakistan, there is an obligation to provide free and quality education to 5 to 16 years age group children for development and flourish democracy.
It also states that Government schools should have hygiene facility, better teacher and student ratio along with the self-grooming and personality development.
There are many points to ponder by housing schemes management to provide allocation of at least 2 kanals for public schools in each society with affordable fee structure and better impact on enrollment.
More than 700 public and private housing societies in the city, only few have public schools in their dominion while most of the societies did not allocate land for schools.
لاہور: ڈسٹرکٹ ایجوکیشن اتھارٹی (DEA) کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر نے سکول ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ (SED) کے سیکرٹری کو لکھے گئے خط میں سکول سے باہر بچوں (OOSC) کے مسئلے کو حل کرنے کے لیے لاہور میں سکول کی زمین جاری کرنے کی درخواست کی ہے۔
ڈان نیوز: بتایا گیا ہے کہ 6.5 ملین طلباء 1,121 گورنمنٹ میں داخل ہیں۔ ضلع لاہور کے سکول۔ لیکن اسکول سے باہر بچوں کو ایڈجسٹ کرنے کے لیے مزید اسکولوں کی ضرورت ہے۔
پنجاب میں ایک اندازے کے مطابق 7.7 ملین بچے سکول نہیں جاتے۔ پاکستان کے آئین کے آرٹیکل 25-A میں جمہوریت کی ترقی اور پنپنے کے لیے 5 سے 16 سال کی عمر کے بچوں کو مفت اور معیاری تعلیم فراہم کرنے کی ذمہ داری عائد کی گئی ہے۔
اس میں یہ بھی کہا گیا ہے کہ سرکاری اسکولوں میں حفظان صحت کی سہولت، بہتر اساتذہ اور طلبہ کا تناسب کے ساتھ ساتھ خود کو سنوارنے اور شخصیت کی نشوونما کے لیے بھی ہونا چاہیے۔
ہاؤسنگ اسکیموں کے انتظام کے ذریعہ غور کرنے کے لئے بہت سے نکات ہیں کہ ہر سوسائٹی میں سرکاری اسکولوں کے لئے کم از کم 2 کنال مختص کی جائے جس میں سستی فیس کے ڈھانچے اور اندراج پر بہتر اثر پڑے۔
شہر میں 700 سے زائد سرکاری اور پرائیویٹ ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز ہیں، جن میں سے صرف چند ایک کے زیر تسلط سرکاری اسکول ہیں جبکہ زیادہ تر سوسائٹیوں نے اسکولوں کے لیے زمین مختص نہیں کی۔
