CDA to make Islamabad, Pakistan’s first Pedestrian friendly city

According to the news sources, The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) chairman met with Naveed Iftikhar, a renowned urban policy specialist. The conference was held in light of CDA management’s intention to explore further solutions for making Islamabad more pedestrian-friendly.

According to the details, Dr. Iftikhar stressed the importance of enhanced signage and awareness efforts, as well as the evaluation of pedestrian needs, during the discussion.

He offered to assist the CDA in the design and advocacy of pedestrian and environmental programs. During the meeting, it was noted that the Capital Development Authority, which has already decided to finish walkways around Islamabad, will eventually establish a pedestrian map for citizens.

According to the chairman, paid parking will be implemented in conjunction with the introduction of buses, which is anticipated for the end of March.

تفصیلات کے مطابق، ڈاکٹر افتخار نے بحث کے دوران اشارے اور آگاہی کی کوششوں کے ساتھ ساتھ پیدل چلنے والوں کی ضروریات کا جائزہ لینے کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔
انہوں نے پیدل چلنے والوں اور ماحولیاتی پروگراموں کے ڈیزائن اور وکالت میں سی ڈی اے کی مدد کرنے کی پیشکش کی۔ اجلاس کے دوران یہ بات نوٹ کی گئی کہ کیپٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی، جو پہلے ہی اسلام آباد کے اطراف واک ویز ختم کرنے کا فیصلہ کر چکی ہے، بالآخر شہریوں کے لیے پیدل چلنے کا نقشہ قائم کرے گی۔
چیئرمین کے مطابق پیڈ پارکنگ بسیں متعارف کرانے کے ساتھ مل کر لاگو کی جائے گی، جو مارچ کے آخر تک متوقع ہے۔
