LAHORE: CDA is considering constructing a state-of-the-art cricket stadium and a five-star hotel in the Margalla Range foothills.
During a news conference on Tuesday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed disclosed that the Capital development DA has been given permission to begin the tendering process for the stadium and the world-grade hotel.
“I have directed CDA Chairman Aamir Ahmed Ali to begin the process of building an international-standard stadium and hotel in the capital.” The tendering procedure would begin soon, according to the interior minister.
According to Naveed Elahi, a member of the Planning CDA, a few sites are being considered for the stadium’s development.

منگل کو ایک نیوز کانفرنس کے دوران وزیر داخلہ شیخ رشید احمد نے انکشاف کیا کہ کیپٹل ڈویلپمنٹ ڈی اے کو سٹیڈیم اور عالمی معیار کے ہوٹل کے لیے ٹینڈرنگ کا عمل شروع کرنے کی اجازت دے دی گئی ہے۔
میں نے سی ڈی اے کے چیئرمین عامر احمد علی کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ دارالحکومت میں بین الاقوامی معیار کے اسٹیڈیم اور ہوٹل کی تعمیر کا عمل شروع کریں۔ وزیر داخلہ کے مطابق ٹینڈرنگ کا عمل جلد شروع ہو جائے گا۔
پلاننگ سی ڈی اے کے رکن نوید الٰہی کے مطابق سٹیڈیم کی ترقی کے لیے چند مقامات پر غور کیا جا رہا ہے۔
