CDA plants over 400,000 saplings under Clean and Green Pakistan drive

In accordance with the vision of the Prime Minister regarding protection and enhancement of the green character of the Islamabad tree plantation and landscaping work was in full swing, said an official of the environment wing.

Talking to APP, he said the authority had chalked out a comprehensive plan to plant various species of plants along highways, intersections, green belts, drain slopes, and parks.

Some saplings of six feet in height were also planted in specified locations including Fatima Jinnah Park, Park Enclave, Diplomatic Enclave, Srinagar Highway, 9th Avenue, 10th Avenue, 11th Avenue, Margalla Road, Margalla Hills National Park, and Islamabad Highway.

The volunteers, students of private and public educational institutions, persons belonging to civil society, various Non-governmental organizations, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, and other institutions were being made part of the tree plantation drive.

The staff of the environment wing, he said, was performing their duties in different shifts as per directions of CDA Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmed to make Islamabad more beautiful and attractive.

ماحولیاتی ونگ کے ایک عہدیدار نے بتایا کہ اسلام آباد کے درخت لگانے اور زمین کی تزئین کے کام کے سبز کردار کے تحفظ اور ان کے اضافے کے حوالے سے وزیراعظم کے وژن کے مطابق۔

اے پی پی سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے ، انہوں نے کہا کہ اتھارٹی نے شاہراہوں ، چوراہوں ، گرین بیلٹس ، نالیوں کی ڈھلوانوں اور پارکوں کے ساتھ مختلف اقسام کے پودے لگانے کا ایک جامع منصوبہ ترتیب دیا ہے۔

فاطمہ جناح پارک ، پارک انکلیو ، ڈپلومیٹک انکلیو ، سرینگر ہائی وے ، 9 ویں ایونیو ، 10 ویں ایونیو ، 11 ویں ایونیو ، مارگلہ روڈ ، مارگلہ ہلز نیشنل پارک اور اسلام آباد ہائی وے سمیت چھ فٹ اونچائی کے کچھ پودے بھی مخصوص مقامات پر لگائے گئے۔

رضاکاروں ، نجی اور سرکاری تعلیمی اداروں کے طلباء ، سول سوسائٹی سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد ، مختلف غیر سرکاری تنظیمیں ، اسلام آباد چیمبر آف کامرس اور دیگر اداروں کو درخت لگانے کی مہم کا حصہ بنایا جا رہا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلام آباد کو مزید خوبصورت اور پرکشش بنانے کے لیے سی ڈی اے کے چیئرمین عامر علی احمد کی ہدایات کے مطابق ماحولیاتی ونگ کا عملہ مختلف شفٹوں میں اپنے فرائض انجام دے رہا ہے۔
